The Trans Pride 5K was founded during my run across America as a way to bring together trans people and the people who love us in a wholesome space centered around community and motion.

Our first 5K was in Austin, TX in June of 2023. The starting line was poignantly and intentionally located on the steps of the Texas state capitol and the first mile circled the capitol grounds. It attracted 400 participants and we have been hosting 5K community running events across America ever since.

Our most recent 5K was on July 7, 2025 in Los Angeles, CA with 300 in person participants, all as a fundraiser for our Finish Line Grant, a grant is awarded to a trans artist, athlete, or project intending to uplift the trans community.
